Colonial Coast Birding and Nature Festival
This is my 5th year at the Colonial Coast Birding and Nature Festival on Jekyll Island GA, and the first year with uniformly excellent weather. Blue sky days, exceptional dawns and sunsets...perfect weather for digiscoping. As it goes though, the migration is running late all up and down the East coast, for reasons unknown, and the birds seemed fewer than in past years. Still Jekyll Island is a treat anytime you get to go. I spend more time exploring the island this year, and got to areas I had not visited, as you will see from the collection of images. All of these images are linked to my Flickr site for larger views, or you and see the whole set, individually or as a slide show, by visiting here.
